The purpose of the Upper Red Lake Area Association is to promote and enhance the economic, commercial and social interests of the inhabitants of the
Upper Red Lake Area.
Yearly membership dues of $25.00 individual and $50.00 for business enable payment of non-gambling operating expenses including the newsletter, website, ads, mileage and lodging for meetings, postage and office supplies, and phone expenses. Business owners will receive a business listing on the URLAA website.
Monies obtained through Pull-Tab gambling can be used for grant requests only. These grants not only go towards lake and area health, they also enable many of our community members and students to participate in sports-musical-class camps, trips and publications, FCCLA state and National events, community scholarship awards, sport uniforms, Fire Fighter and Ambulance upgrades and needs, community celebrations, school sponsored events, dances and other celebrations, and many more activities. Without members and membership dues, the URLAA would cease to exist and so would the thousands of dollars in grants given out annually.
Becoming a member does not require that you attend meetings, although we encourage and welcome new voices. We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at West Winds Resort in Waskish at 7:00 p.m. Because our goal is to help our local communities, we cannot exist without the support of those same community members. The annual dues are only $25.00 for individuals and $50.00 for business . You in turn will receive a quarterly newsletter that lists current events, grants, fishing and hunting updates and stories, wild game recipes, DNR information and more.
Please consider spending $25.00 to help us in continuing to grant helping dollars to local clubs, organizations and schools. Use the form below for your information and mail it to the address listed below. Thank you to ALL our existing members and future members for your continuing aid and support of our community.
